Qingdao Yulong Algae Co.LTD was established in 1991(transformed from a joint venture) .It dated back to 1958 when it started up as a kelp farming. From 1968, it has begun the production and developed the sodium alginate, iodine, fucoidan, mannitol, chloral hydrate…etc.
 

It has been 30 years for the production of chloral hydrate from 1987. Currently there are two types of it in market: medicine grade and industrial grade. In 2004, its production plant got China GMP approval. The latest update of GMP certificate was made in 2016 (no.SD20160470).
 

The company is the only enterprise which is ratified by China FDA to produce medicine grade chloral hydrate with the sole drug approval number H37022673. So it is the only legal supplier for chloral hydrate preparations to hospital and other markets.
 

Its industrial grade enjoys the reputation of high quality but lower price, with which the company becomes the major supplier in electroplating and brightener in China. It is listed by CCPIT as the recommended product to EU market. Each year, 50% of the production goes to US, German, Japan, Australia, Korea and Hong Kong.
